Transforming Awarua Quadrant into a vision of growth and opportunity

Our client, Stewart Family Holdings had recently acquired a significant plot of land in Invercargill, intended for the development of Australasia's largest heavy industrial zoned land – Awarua Quadrant.

Stewart Family Holdings, the investment entity of the Stewart Family, strives to be a catalyst for growth in diverse sectors and creating lasting value through diversified investments. The Stewart Family assigned the Awarua Quadrant project to their company, Calder Stewart, due to their decades of experience in construction and property development.

While the Awarua Quadrant project had garnered media attention, it lacked a distinct identity and a compelling narrative that would resonate with potential investors and businesses. Calder Stewart, as the driving force of this project, sought to establish Awarua Quadrant as a beacon of opportunity and economic growth for Southland.

Calder Stewart approached Brooks & Boyd to help bring Awarua Quadrant's potential to life. In the initial stages, we engaged with both Stewart Family Holdings and Calder Stewart to understand their brand values, reputation within the industry, and the significance of the location. Through discussions and collaboration, Brooks & Boyd aimed to align their creative vision with both companies objectives.

We devised a strategic approach to empower Awarua Quadrant with its distinct identity while also showcasing its impact on the community and environment.

The key steps in our approach included

Crafting a unique brand identity
Brooks & Boyd’s primary goal was to create a fresh and clean brand that would distinguish Awarua Quadrant from other developments. This new identity would spotlight Awarua Quadrant’s core aspirations as an industrial business park.

Incorporating natural surroundings and visual storytelling
Recognising the importance of the location in Southland, Brooks & Boyd emphasised integrating the natural surroundings into the brand identity. This involved highlighting the sustainable practices and the harmony between the development and the environment. Brooks & Boyd utilised photography and drone footage to capture the vast land Awarua Quadrant would occupy. By showcasing the picturesque landscape, the supporting visuals aimed to evoke the sense of potential and possibility of Awarua Quadrant.

Website development
Building on the brand, Brooks & Boyd created a bespoke website that effectively communicated Awarua Quadrant's scale and its attractiveness to potential investors and business owners worldwide. The website balanced a sense of local authenticity with global appeal.

The outcome

Through collaborative efforts and a clear creative direction, Brooks & Boyd helped to successfully transform Awarua Quadrant from a mere expanse of land into a vision of growth and opportunity. The brand identity created by Brooks & Boyd effectively portrayed Awarua Quadrant’s values, aspirations, and potential impact on the community. The result was a comprehensive brand package that spanned both digital and print platforms, including a website that seamlessly combined local roots and global allure.

The collaborative process between Calder Stewart and Brooks & Boyd elevated Awarua Quadrant from a conceptual idea to a tangible and enticing prospect. By providing a visual representation of the development's potential, Awarua Quadrant is set to spark interest among potential investors and businesses on a global scale. The success of this project not only gives Awarua Quadrant a distinct identity but also positions itself as a symbol of progress and prosperity for Southland.
